AI and the Church
We have opened a new substack site called called AI and the Church. The following is from the home page of AI and the Church.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming how people think, work, and define meaning. AI is not simply another technological advance like the printing press or the internet. Many see AI as just a ‘smarter Google’, but it is actually something far more profound. Artificial Intelligence is able to generate language, reason, offer advice, and act.
The pace of change is extraordinary — far faster than any previous technological revolution. AI represents a fundamental shift in how knowledge, creativity, and even moral reasoning are being reshaped by machines — raising deep questions for people of faith.
At this site we explore three topics:
- What is AI, and how does it work? What can it do; what are its limitations?
- How does AI change Christian theology, and our sense of human identity?
- How can the church community respond faithfully, wisely, and courageously to these extraordinary changes?
